Import words

Bring in words you already know so Kitaabi doesn't drill them as new.

Anki

Review history carries over: mature cards aren't taught as new, and often-forgotten words come back sooner. New words become your own cards, with the deck's recordings.

In Anki: File → Export… → Anki Deck Package. AnkiWeb shared decks work too.

Memrise (community courses and your progress)

A course CSV or TSV, or the .zip from Memrise's data download. Learned and ignored words count as known.

Word lists

Columns: Arabic, English, and optionally Known (yes/no). CSV, TSV or Excel.

Your file never leaves this browser. The words sync with iCloud; a deck's recordings stay here.
