ضرب زلزالٌ قويٌّ جنوب تُرْكِيَا وشمال سُورِيَا فجر يوم السّادس من فبراير سنة ٢٠٢٣، وبلغت قوّته ٧٫٨ درجاتٍ. وانهارت آلاف المباني، ونام كثيرٌ من النّاس في الشّوارع رغم البرد. وأرسلت دولٌ كثيرةٌ فرق إنقاذٍ وطائراتٍ تحمل خيامًا وأدويةً وبطّانيّاتٍ. وفي مدنٍ عربيّةٍ كثيرةٍ جمع الطّلّاب والمتطوّعون ملابس وطعامًا للمتضرّرين.
